What do you need to do?

Here are a few tips for you to keep top of mind:

Be Alert
Fraudsters are actively looking for your personal information. Be aware of suspicious email or pop-up messages, otherwise known as "phishing," seeking personal information such as credit card numbers, bank account information, Social Security Number, or Passwords. Some phishing examples take the form of an official looking request from a business, online payment service or bank.

Do Not Respond!
If you receive a suspicious email that appears to be from Wachovia, do not respond, click on links or change the email in any way. These actions could release a virus to your computer. Please forward the email to abuse@wachovia.com, and then delete it.

Protect Your Computer
To be extra safe, make sure you have anti-Spyware and anti-Virus software that is up to date, and that can be regularly updated. If you're not sure if you have this on your computer, talk to a computer professional and they can guide you.

Stay Tuned
Your security is our top priority. In our ongoing effort to improve security to protect you against online fraud and identity theft, we'll update you and keep you informed of any enhancements to Wachovia Security Plus.
